Invest In Rest

Hey, this is Sunday from Nutritional Designs, thanks for joining me today. And I feel awesome because I got a great night’s sleep last night. And some of you at home just went, “Oh she’s so lucky, she got some good sleep. I wish I could get good sleep.” Are you one of those people that looks at a sleeping baby and goes, “Oh, if only that could be me and I could sleep like that.” Sleep is so important and most of Americans, in fact, 75% of Americans have some type of sleep issue, and if you are one of those people, stay tuned and keep listening because we’ve got some great things to offer you.
Now if you are not getting five hours of uninterrupted sleep, you will over time start to have a lot of issues start reoccurring over and over and over again. Five hours, uninterrupted. So for a lot of people, when I stress that, they go, “Well, I get five hours but in two hours I wake up and I go to the bathroom and then two hours later, my dog wakes me up, so then I’m up and sometimes I have a hard time falling back to sleep and then maybe I sleep for another couple of hours, so I get five hours but it’s not good, quality five hours uninterrupted.” And I go, we’re going to start, over time, to probably feel tired and fatigued and is the main reason that most people, they walk in who need more energy, are asking me for more energy when all it is, is the fact that they’re just not sleeping well. Got to invest in that rest.
Now one thing that I’m going to give you a little tip on that I do love, I love something as simple as valerian root. Stinky little root, but a great root nonetheless. And a few different tips on how to do it, so not only do we think of taking this right when you go to sleep so you can sleep, I sometimes suggest that shortly after you come home, maybe seven in the evening, you go to bed at 10, take a dose of valerian and start to calm down and relax. Too many times, you’re kind of all wound up and then trying to get the kids to sleep or whatever and you’ve got all this going on and you can feel by the time you’re in bed, your body just won’t let you calm down and sleep well. Or even if you fall asleep, you’re up again because things are still cooking.
So to take something before, earlier, to take something right before you go to bed, get a great night’s sleep, something simple as valerian root can help you immensely.
