The importance of the right nutrition in anyone who exercises, a professional athlete or the occasional cross trainer, is essential. A few basic factors that I recommend across the board is to make sure that a healthy meal, or if a meal cannot happen then a protein drink or bar may be used until food is available, within an hour after you finish exercise. Also essential is Vitamin C (Ascorbate) which is essential for repair of tissue. So 1000mg of the Ascorbate form of Vitamin C within an hour after exercise will start the healing process. Staying active can sharpen your mind and keep you feeling young, so remember to feed and nourish your active body.
