OUR RESPONSE:
I am thrilled that you are thinking about this before you are in the throes of an intense change. Working now should lessen this intensity. Always start with the basics, solid high potency multi, omega 3’s, and choose great healthy variety in your diet. Not only do the Omega 3’s help with hormone production, but hormone metabolism (which means function), and then hormone elimination. I want you to make sure that the Fish Oil amounts that you are using stay high, so look for a fish oil with an EPA>1000mg and a DHA>750mg. As for the multi we want solid mineral content and high B vitamin content. I would recommend that you use a multi like Clinical Nutrients for Women which would fit what you need. I want to make sure that you are not prone to constipation. This needs to be corrected before we go any further (of course if you are prone to the other direction I need to know this also). As for any separate nutrients that I would recommend, if you live here in Wisconsin, then I would recommend that you make sure that you are taking Vitamin D3 and I would recommend this time of year that you keep your dosing at 4000iu daily. If you follow this and you feel great, solid energy and mood, no aches or pains, not getting sick frequently, and no sleep problems then we are on the right track, but if other things still plague you then we need to address those soon.
